Evil’s Pride Campaign Stage 1: Greyhawk
Players will roll up level 3 spellcaster cultists. These cultists should be some kind of Evil aligned, but you don’t have to be irredeemable. Each player will roll for stats twice, giving you two sets of 6 numbers, and pick the set they prefer to use for their character. Backstory for this character can be short, but must include a goal that drove the character to explore the life of a cultist.
The campaign begins in the Free City of Greyhawk where all of the characters have been hiding out for over 3 months. Each character has experienced setbacks in their life as a cultist. The cults they were originally a part of (discussed and assigned individually with DM) crumbled, leaving the characters to flee and take up fake lives as ordinary laborers within the City. None of the characters know each other prior to the start of the campaign (unless discussed with DM). They have however, seen each other in passing and recognize each other, given some thought, as the typical Gilded Griffon Tavern crowd who are always sitting alone around 7 or 8pm.
- Each character has private lodgings somewhere within the city.
- There is no need for fake names unless players just want one for added security. PCs aren’t well known cultists so no one really cares what their names are.
Stage 1 is meant to give the DM and PCs time to explore the other planes included in the Great Wheel Cosmology. This is done through the eyes and goals of a Young Vecna in his 20s. During this time he is seeking the secrets of Magic and with every adventure he slowly becomers aware of the terrible secrets of the multiverse.
Evil’s Pride Campaign Stage 2: Sword’s Coast
Players will choose to play a monster CR 14 – 24. Any homebrew must be approved by the DM. All monsters will have the opportunity to grow stronger in their own way. Low CR monsters could overtake high CR monsters given the right circumstances. Keep that in mind.
Two main goals of the campaign
- Kill Vecna and Steal his secrets. You could choose to steal the secrets and leave Vecna alive instead, but you’ll have an immortal Lich God trying to kill you along side all your other enemies.
- Unseat major powers in the multiverse. Examples: Lady of Pain, Asmodeus, Take over Mount Celestia etc.
Each monster should have its own motivations and goals that it aims to achieve. Reading the Lore and talking with the DM can help with development. The campaign will insert influences that aim the players at the previously stated goals.
Campaign begins with the extermination of a lair controlled by one of the Players or one of the Players being hunted by strong adventurer NPCs.
CURRENTLY AN ACTIVE CAMPAIGN. DETAILS KEPT LIGHT.
